ICAR-IARI Young Professional-II Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi has announced a walk-in interview for 2 Young Professional-II (YP-II) posts under the ICAR (NASF) funded project "Strengthening Research-Extension-Farmer Linkages: Inclusive Evaluation and Strategic Solutions for Diverse Agro-Climatic Regions" (Project Code: 20-82). The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. M.Sc qualified candidates with NET can apply by submitting the prescribed application form through email by 1 June 2026 and attend the walk-in interview on 8 June 2026 at 9:30 AM.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• M.Sc in any one of the following: Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Horticulture, Community Science in Extension, or Computer Application
• UGC / CSIR / ICAR NET is mandatory

Desirable

• Experience in agricultural extension research, impact evaluation, and field-based data collection
• Proficiency in statistical tools such as SPSS, STATA, or R
• Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder coordination (farmers, extension agencies, research institutions)
• Familiarity with diverse agro-climatic conditions

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years for men and 40 years for women
• Age Relaxation: SC / ST / OBC candidates get relaxation as per Government of India / ICAR rules

Salary

• Monthly emoluments: Rs. 42,000 per month (fixed)
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
• YP-II candidates will be allowed CL and RH not exceeding 10 days in a year

Selection Process

Selection will be done through a walk-in interview:

1. Submission of Application: Send the prescribed application form by email to srext2011@gmail.com by 1 June 2026
2. Document Verification: On the day of the interview, between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM
3. Walk-in Interview: 8 June 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Division of Agricultural Extension, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi

Candidates reporting after 10:30 AM will not be allowed for the interview. Only candidates meeting essential qualifications will be interviewed. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Coordinate with stakeholders including farmers, KVKs, and state extension agencies
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and research publications
