The Agriculture Production Department is recruiting 146 Veterinary Pharmacist posts across 21 district and division cadres, while the Finance Department needs 48 Assistant Compiler posts in the J&K Funds Organisation. Both posts carry Level-4 pay (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and offer stable government employment with all J&K UT benefits. Only J&K domicile holders are eligible to apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Veterinary Pharmacist (146 Posts)

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc from a recognised university with Zoology as one of the subjects
• You must have completed your degree on or before the last date of application (19 May 2026)

For Assistant Compiler (48 Posts)

• Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) from a recognised board
• You must have passed the exam on or before the cut-off date

Domicile Requirement

• You must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir
• A valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format is mandatory
• The certificate must be obtained on or before 19 May 2026

Age Limit

Your age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026. You must be at least 18 years old and not older than the limits below:

• Open Merit (OM): 40 years
• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / RBA / ALC-IB / EWS / OBC: 43 years
• Physically Challenged (PwBD): 42 years
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 48 years

Salary

• Pay Level: Level-4 under the 7th Central Pay Commission
• Pay Range: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (basic pay)
• In addition, you will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per J&K UT Government rules
• The total take-home salary at entry level (including allowances) is expected to be around Rs. 35,000-40,000 per month

• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / EWS / PwBD: Rs. 500/-

Selection Process

The selection for both Veterinary Pharmacist and Assistant Compiler posts follows the same process:

1. Written Examination (OMR Based): This is the main selection stage. The exam consists of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions. All questions will be in English language only. There will be negative marking — for every wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
2. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the written exam and fall within the consideration zone will be called for verification of all original documents, certificates, and category claims.

• Handle daily pharmaceutical and veterinary medical supplies at the assigned Animal Husbandry centre or district hospital
• Assist veterinary officers in administering medicines, vaccines, and treatments to livestock and animals
• Keep accurate records of medicines received, dispensed, and remaining stock in the pharmacy register
• Prepare and compile statistical data, financial records, and departmental reports as assigned by supervising officers
• Follow all government rules and standard operating procedures related to drug storage, handling, and distribution
• Monitor expiry dates and storage conditions of veterinary medicines and ensure proper disposal of expired stock
• Work with field teams during vaccination drives, disease outbreaks, and livestock health camps in rural areas
• Manage office correspondence, data entry, and file management for the department or fund organisation
