Selection Process

You will go through a two-stage selection: a written exam followed by an interview. The written test has 100 MCQs worth 1 mark each, and there is negative marking — every 20 wrong answers will cost you 1 mark. After the objective section, there are 4 descriptive questions worth 16 marks. If you make it to the shortlist, you will face an interview carrying 20 marks (with a guaranteed minimum of 4 marks just for showing up).

Preparation Tips for Kerala CSEB Exam

  1. Study Cooperative Law thoroughly — it is the core subject for most CSEB posts and carries significant weightage
  2. Brush up on General Knowledge — cover current affairs from the last 6 months, especially Kerala-specific events
  3. Practice previous year CSEB papers — they are available on the official website under the Previous Question Paper section
  4. Time yourself strictly — you need to answer 100 MCQs plus 4 descriptive questions, so speed matters
  5. Be careful with guessing — the negative marking system penalizes 1 mark for every 20 wrong answers, so skip questions you are unsure about
  6. Prepare for the interview too — it carries 20 marks and can make or break your final ranking

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily cash transactions, deposits, and withdrawals at the cooperative bank counter
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and account books
  • Process loan applications and assist members with banking services
