RBI Kohima Medical Consultant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country's central banking institution, is looking for a qualified medical professional to serve as Bank's Medical Consultant at its Kohima office in Nagaland. This is a part-time contractual role where the selected doctor will provide medical services to RBI staff at the Kohima regional office. The contract is for 3 years with no option for renewal. Candidates who are MBBS doctors with clinical experience and reside near the RBI Kohima office should consider applying.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from a university recognised by the Medical Council of India (Allopathic system).
• Preferred Qualification: A post-graduate degree in General Medicine is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience: You need a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience working as a medical practitioner in any hospital or clinic.
• Residence: Your dispensary or residence should be within 10-15 km of the RBI Kohima office at T. Tachu Enclave, New Secretariat-High Court Junction Road, Kohima.
• Category: This is an Unreserved (UR) post. However, candidates from SC, ST, and OBC categories are also welcome to apply.

Salary and Benefits

• You will be paid Rs. 1,000 per hour for the entire 3-year contract period.
• Current duty schedule is 2 hours each on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (6 hours per week). This means approximately Rs. 24,000 per month at the current schedule.
• The Bank may increase duty hours up to a maximum of 30 hours per week based on requirements.
• Rs. 1,000 per month from the total pay will be treated as conveyance expense.
• You will also get Rs. 1,000 per month as mobile charge reimbursement.
• If called on a public holiday, you will be paid Rs. 1,000 per hour as compensation.
• Note: No pension, provident fund, gratuity, leave, or other perks are included in this contract engagement.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for an interview at RBI Kohima. The Bank may raise the minimum eligibility bar to limit the number of interview candidates.
2. Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates after the interview will undergo medical tests as per RBI norms before final engagement.

The selected candidate will also need to sign a contract agreement with the Bank and submit a Self-Declaration and NOC (if employed elsewhere for more than 30 hours per week).
