Redhakhol Forest Division Multi-Tasking Staff (Computer/GIS Analyst) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Redhakhol Forest Division (under Sambalpur District, Odisha) has invited applications for 1 Multi-Tasking Staff position on a purely outsourcing basis. This is a unique tech-focused role in the forest department where you will work on GIS mapping, remote sensing analysis, AI/LLM tools, and digital operations. No written exam is required -- selection is through interview and document verification. The engagement is initially for 12 months and can be renewed based on your performance.

Who Can Apply?

Option 1 -- Engineering Graduates:

• Qualification: B.Tech or B.E in Computer Science and Engineering, OR Postgraduate (M.Tech/M.E/MCA) in Computer Science and Engineering from a recognized university.

Option 2 -- GIS/Remote Sensing Graduates:

• Qualification: Graduation or Post Graduation in GIS, Remote Sensing, or Programming from a recognized university.

Desirable Skills (will give you an edge):

• GIS and Remote Sensing tools -- Google Earth, QGIS, ARC GIS
• Programming and Scripting -- Python, SQL, JavaScript
• AI/ML, LLM, and Data tools
• MS Office, Map design, and layout skills
• Experience in application and website development
• Knowledge of drones and ability to pilot them

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on 01 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/SEBC candidates get up to 5 years relaxation (can apply up to 40 years).

Salary

• You will receive a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 36,000 (Thirty-six thousand rupees only).
• This is a contractual/outsourcing position, so standard government allowances (DA, HRA) do not apply.
• You are entitled to 12 days casual leave per year.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this post. Selection will happen in 2 stages:

1. Preliminary Scrutiny of Applications: Your application, qualifications, and experience will be evaluated. Candidates with experience in the Forest Department will get preference.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date and venue will be communicated via email.

• Compile divisional data and generate useful reports, returns, and summaries
• Maintain official divisional web pages and coordinate online events and awareness campaigns
• Update data and records regularly on official portals and websites
• Train division staff on digitalisation tools and AI/LLM-based applications to improve productivity
