SIDBI Specialist Officers Recruitment 2026 - 14 Posts

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the apex financial institution for promoting and financing the MSME sector in India, has announced recruitment for 14 Specialist Officers on a contractual basis under Advertisement No. 15/2025-26 dated March 18, 2026. These positions span technology, data, investments, partnerships, and cluster development functions. All posts are contractual for 3 years (extendable by up to 2 more years). This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals in AI/ML, data engineering, equity investments, and MSME development to work with one of India's most important development finance institutions.

Who Can Apply?

Data Scientist (DS)

• Qualification: Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Quantitative Finance or related quantitative discipline
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in data science / advanced analytics / ML modelling in Banks, NBFCs, DFIs, Fintechs

AI Specialists (AIS)

• Qualification: Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Data Science, or related discipline. Post-graduate degree (M.Tech, M.Sc.) in AI/ML preferred
• Experience: Minimum 4 years in AI/ML development, deployment, and MLOps in banking or fintech

ML Engineer (MLE)

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, AI, or related discipline
• Experience: Minimum 4 years in ML engineering / MLOps / backend engineering with ML systems

Data Engineers (DE)

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related discipline
• Experience: Minimum 8 years in data engineering / data platform roles in Banks, NBFCs, DFIs, Fintechs

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Post-graduate in Law (LLM), Technology Law, MBA, Computer Science, or Information Security preferred
• Experience: 15 years total, with minimum 4 years direct hands-on experience in data protection, privacy regulation, or information security

Relationship Manager - Corporate Deposits (RM-CD)

• Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. MBA / PGDM (Finance) / CA / CFA or equivalent preferred
• Experience: Minimum 6 years in Banks/NBFCs with around 4 years in deposit mobilisation / institutional liabilities

Portfolio Manager - Pre-IPO & Anchor Investments (PM)

• Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. MBA/PGDM (Finance) / CA / CFA or equivalent with strong capital markets / ECM / portfolio management exposure
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in portfolio management, investments, ECM, IPO, capital markets, merchant banking, or equity investments

Strategic Partnerships Manager (SPM)

• Qualification: MBA/PGDM or Master's degree in Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or Economics
• Experience: Minimum 8 years in strategic partnerships, ecosystem relationships, merchant banking, investment banking, or DFI/NBFC partnership roles

Cluster Manager (CM)

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Agri Business, Rural Management, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or related field. MBA/PGDM in Agri Business, Rural Management, or Sales/Marketing preferred
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in cluster and PDI activities, business development in banking or financial services, or working with MSMEs

Age Limit

• Data Scientist, AI Specialists, ML Engineer, RM-CD, SPM: Maximum 35 years as on 28 February 2026
• Data Engineers, Portfolio Manager, Cluster Manager: Maximum 40 years as on 28 February 2026
• Data Protection Officer: Maximum 45 years as on 28 February 2026
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines

Salary

• Data Protection Officer: CTC around Rs. 50-55 LPA
• Portfolio Manager: CTC around Rs. 45-55 LPA
• Data Engineers: CTC around Rs. 35-40 LPA
• Strategic Partnerships Manager: CTC around Rs. 25-30 LPA
• Data Scientist: CTC around Rs. 25 LPA
• AI Specialists: CTC around Rs. 25 LPA
• Relationship Manager: CTC between Rs. 20-25 LPA
• ML Engineer: CTC around Rs. 20 LPA
• Cluster Manager: CTC around Rs. 12 LPA
• All posts include Group Insurance, annual CTC increments based on performance review, and a variable component linked to performance

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: SIDBI will screen applications and prepare a shortlist of eligible candidates based on qualification, experience, and suitability for the role.
2. Online Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview. The merit list will be prepared based on interview scores. In case of equal scores, the older candidate gets preference.

One candidate can apply for only one post. Multiple applications will result in rejection of all applications.

• Design, build, and deploy analytical models, AI/ML solutions, and data platforms that support credit, risk, and customer engagement decisions across SIDBI's MSME programmes
• Manage data pipelines, feature engineering, and model monitoring to ensure accurate and scalable data-driven operations
• Handle data protection compliance under the DPDP Act, conduct privacy audits, and oversee breach response processes
• Acquire and manage corporate and institutional deposit relationships, driving deposit mobilisation and client engagement
• Lead end-to-end portfolio execution for pre-IPO and anchor equity investments, including screening, diligence, and post-investment monitoring
• Build and manage strategic ecosystem partnerships with incubators, accelerators, VCs, and industry bodies to source deals for SIDBI's equity initiatives
• Execute cluster development projects, prepare business plans for common facility centres, and strengthen the MSME ecosystem at the grassroots level
