The Office of the District Programme Officer (Bal Vikas), Azamgarh under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme has invited online applications for 159 Anganwadi Karyakartri vacancies. Salary
- Anganwadi Worker is an honorarium-based position. Regular government service rules of UP do not apply to this post.

- Additional performance-linked incentive of Rs. 500 per month may be available as per central government norms.
- The post can be terminated at any time as per the provisions of the Government Order.

Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door surveys to identify children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers in the assigned area
- Provide supplementary nutrition to children aged 0-6 years and expectant mothers
- Organise non-formal pre-school education activities for children aged 3-6 years at the Anganwadi centre
- Assist health staff during immunisation drives and health check-up camps
- Monitor growth and nutritional status of children by recording weight and height regularly
- Educate women about proper nutrition, hygiene, family planning, and child care practices
- Maintain registers and records of births, deaths, and beneficiaries in the area
- Report cases of severe malnutrition and refer affected children to the nearest health facility
