Who Can Apply?

You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the UPSSSC Lower PCS 2026 recruitment:

  • PET Requirement: You must have appeared in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and received a scorecard from the Commission. Only PET-qualified candidates can apply for this main examination.
  • Educational Qualification: You need a Bachelor's degree (Graduation) from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. The exact qualification varies slightly by department — some posts like the Audit Accountant give preference to candidates with Territorial Army service or NCC 'B' Certificate.
  • Special for Executive Officer: You must have a Graduate degree. Permanency in the post requires obtaining a Computer 'O' Level Diploma from a recognized institute.
  • Special for Clerk-cum-Typist: Graduate degree is mandatory. Preference may be given to candidates with cash handling and accounting experience, plus a minimum Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute.
  • Special for Assistant Chakbandi Officer: You need a Law Graduate (LLB) degree from any recognized university in India.
  • Special for Kendra Prabhari: Graduate degree from a recognized university, plus working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script is expected.
  • Domicile: You must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Non-domicile candidates will be treated as Unreserved category.

Age Limit

  • For most posts, you should be between 21 and 40 years old as on 1 July 2026.
  • For the Assistant Treasury Accountant post, the age range is 21 to 40 years as on 1 July of the calendar year in which vacancies are advertised.
  • For Kendra Prabhari, the age is 18 to 40 years as on 1 January or 1 July depending on when the vacancy was published. Existing Corporation employees get an additional 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates from UP get age relaxation as per the prevailing government orders. Mandi Board employees get 5 additional years in the upper age limit.
  • CM Fellowship holders will also receive age and preference relaxation as per the UP CM Fellowship Relaxation Rules, 2026.

Salary

  • Level 4 (Clerk-cum-Typist/Cashier/Accounts Clerk): Rs 25,500 to 81,100 per month
  • Level 5 (Assistant Treasury Accountant, Audit Accountant, Amin/Auctioneer): Rs 29,200 to 92,300 per month
  • Level 6 (Executive Officer, Asst Chakbandi Officer, Asst Manager, District Asst Probation Officer, Mandi Supervisor): Rs 35,400 to 1,12,400 per month
  • Kendra Prabhari: Pay Band Rs 5,200 to 20,200 per month
  • Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules

Application Fee

  • All Categories: Rs 25 (online processing fee only)
  • The application fee is Rs 0 (zero) for all categories. Only an online processing fee of Rs 25 is charged.
  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters, Ex-Servicemen, Women, PwBD, and Outstanding Sportspersons pay the same fee as their original category (categories 1 to 4 in the table).
  • Main Exam Fee: A separate examination fee will be collected later, only from candidates shortlisted for the main written exam. This will be charged before the admit card download.
  • Payment Mode: Credit card, Debit card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan. No other payment mode is accepted.

Selection Process

  1. PET-2025 Shortlisting: Candidates are first shortlisted based on their PET-2025 normalized scores. Up to 15 times the number of advertised vacancies per category (up to the last cut-off mark including decimals to 2 places) will be called for the main written exam.
  2. Main Written Examination: A single question paper with 100 objective-type (MCQ) questions carrying 100 marks. Total duration is 2 hours (120 minutes). Each correct answer earns 1 mark. Negative marking of 0.25 marks (one-fourth of the prescribed marks) applies for each wrong answer.
  3. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the main exam will be called for document verification based on their merit in the written exam.

How to Apply

  3. Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number or email for authentication.
  4. After login, your personal details from PET-2025 registration will be displayed automatically. Verify and select the posts you want to apply for.
  5. For each selected post, fill in the educational qualification details — Board/University name, passing year, certificate/roll number, and marks.
  6. Upload any additional required preferences and details as prompted.
  7. Pay the application processing fee of Rs 25 via Credit/Debit card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.

Responsibilities

  • Handle accounting, treasury management, and financial record-keeping duties as assigned by the department (for Treasury and Audit posts).
  • Assist in land consolidation proceedings, property measurement, and auction processes under the revenue department (for Amin/Auctioneer posts).
  • Manage municipal administration including tax collection, civic infrastructure planning, and public grievance resolution (for Executive Officer posts).
  • Prepare official correspondence, maintain records, handle cash transactions, and manage daily financial registers (for Clerk-cum-Typist and Cashier posts).
  • Work with industry stakeholders to promote enterprise development, process applications for industrial licenses, and monitor compliance (for Assistant Manager posts).
  • Supervise agricultural market operations, ensure proper grading and pricing of produce, and maintain market records (for Mandi Supervisor posts).
  • Assist in probation supervision, rehabilitation planning, and preparing social investigation reports for the court (for District Assistant Probation Officer posts).
  • Follow all departmental rules, maintain discipline, and participate in training programs as directed by your supervising officer.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) from a recognized university. Must have PET-2025 scorecard.

Preferred Qualification

LLB for Assistant Chakbandi Officer post. Computer O Level Diploma preferred for Executive Officer. Territorial Army service or NCC B Certificate preferred for Audit Accountant.

Required Skills

Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script. Typing speed of 25 WPM in Hindi for Clerk-cum-Typist post.
