WBMSC Computer Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 13 Posts

West Bengal Municipal Service Commission (WBMSC) has released Advertisement No. 02 of 2026 for filling up 13 Computer Assistant positions in various Development Authorities throughout West Bengal. These are permanent government posts offering a stable career in municipal administration with attractive pay under Pay Level-6 of the WBS(ROPA) Rules 2019. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
• Additional Requirement: You must also hold a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institute.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 01 January 2026.
• SC/ST candidates (West Bengal domicile): Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years (up to 45 years).
• OBC candidates (West Bengal domicile): Upper age limit relaxed by 3 years (up to 43 years).
• PwBD candidates (40% or more disability): Can apply up to 45 years of age.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 22,700 to Rs. 58,500 per month under Pay Level-6 of the Pay Matrix as per WBS(ROPA) Rules 2019.
• You will also receive DA, HRA, and other allowances as per West Bengal Government rules.

• SC / ST / PwBD candidates: Rs. 50 (processing charges only)

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following stages:

1. Written Examination: The Commission will conduct a written recruitment exam. The detailed scheme, syllabus, and exam pattern will be notified separately by WBMSC.
2. Document Verification: Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for verification of original documents and certificates.
