WCD Korba Assistant Grade-III Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of Collector (Women and Child Development), District Korba, Chhattisgarh has invited applications from eligible Chhattisgarh domicile candidates for the post of Assistant Grade-03 (Third Division) under direct recruitment. This is a regular government vacancy under the reservation norms of the state government, with the single post falling in the Unreserved (General) category. Who Can Apply?

  • Shorthand Certificate: You need a shorthand typing speed certificate from a recognized board or institution in Chhattisgarh, verified through computer and software-based examination at 5,000 KDPH.
  • Domicile: You must be a native resident of Chhattisgarh state.
  • Employment Registration: You must be registered with the Employment Exchange office in Chhattisgarh.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 01 January 2026.
  • SC/ST/OBC (Chhattisgarh, non-creamy layer): Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years (up to 40 years).
  • Women (CG Civil Services Rule 1997): Upper age limit relaxed by 10 years (up to 45 years).
  • Widow / Divorced Women: Additional 5 years relaxation on upper age limit.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxed by the length of military service, with a maximum upper age limit relaxation of 3 years beyond the base limit.
  • Persons with Disability (40%+): Upper age limit relaxed by 10 years.
  • Family Welfare Green Card Holders (CG): 2 years relaxation.
  • National Youth Award / Rajiv Pandey Award / Gundadhur Samman / Maharaja Praveer Chandra Samman recipients: 5 years relaxation.
  • CG State Government Employees / Corporation Staff: Upper age limit is 38 years.
  • Maximum combined age limit after all relaxations shall not exceed 45 years.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get a salary in the pay band of Rs. 5,200 to Rs. 20,200 per month with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1,900.
  • This falls under Pay Matrix Level-04 of the revised pay structure.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on merit and a computer skill test. There is no written examination for this recruitment.

  1. Merit List Preparation: After screening applications, a merit list will be prepared based on your educational qualification marks. A provisional list of up to 10 times the number of vacancies will be called for document verification.
  2. Document Verification: Your original certificates, caste certificate, domicile, age proof, employment registration, and educational documents will be checked. A provisional merit list of eligible and ineligible candidates will be published on korba.gov.in.
  3. Computer Skill Test (Dakshata/Kaushal Pariksha): Qualified candidates will take a computer-based skill test. Out of a total of 100 marks, 80 marks are for academic qualification (percentage of prescribed educational qualification converted to marks out of 80) and 20 marks are for the skill/typing test.

If two candidates score equal marks in the skill test, the one with higher academic marks gets preference. If both academic and skill test marks are equal, the older candidate (by date of birth) gets preference.
