National Institute of Technology Warangal Research Associate-I Recruitment 2026

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) has invited applications for one Research Associate-I position under a research project sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) ARG Grants-in-Aid. The project is titled "Fabrication and Characterization of RIS Integrated Circularly Polarized MIMO Dielectric-Resonator Antenna for 6G Wireless Applications". This is a purely temporary 3-year position, ideal for researchers working on antenna design, intelligent reflecting surfaces and 6G wireless systems. Selection is through an interview only — there is no written exam.

Who Can Apply?

Option 1: Ph.D Holders

• Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent degree

Option 2: M.E./M.Tech with Experience

• M.E. / M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent degree
• Minimum 3 years of research, teaching, or design and development experience after M.E./M.Tech
• At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of Microwave metamaterials and metasurfaces — fabrication and measurement
• Experience with Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) design and measurement
• Antenna design experience using Ansys HFSS and CST Microwave Studio
• Working knowledge of MATLAB, Python, C++ and embedded electronics
• Preference for candidates with experience in allied industries

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged applicants get relaxation as per Government of India rules and the funding agency's norms

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 58,000 per month
• HRA: Provided based on project and Institute norms
• The position is for 3 years, purely temporary in nature

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend an online or offline interview at NIT Warangal
